Electromagnetic flow meters are suitable for measuring the flow of all electrically conductive liquids, as well as mud, paste, and slurry. The premise is that the measured medium must have at least some minimum conductivity. Temperature, pressure, viscosity, and density have no effect on the measurement results.
As long as appropriate pipeline lining and electrode materials are selected, they can also be used to measure corrosive media. Solid particles in the medium will not affect the measurement results.
The flow sensor and intelligent converter are integrated or separated to form a complete flow meter.

working principle
The flow measurement principle of electromagnetic flowmeter is based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction:
When a conductive liquid flows through a measuring tube surrounded by a magnetic field, an induced electromotive force proportional to the average flow velocity is generated in the direction perpendicular to both the flow direction and the magnetic field. A flowmeter consists of two parts: a sensor and a converter. The converter transmits excitation current to the coil inside the sensor, thereby generating a magnetic field inside the sensor measuring tube. Then, the conductive liquid flowing through the measuring tube generates induced electromotive force by cutting the magnetic field lines. The electrodes fixed on both sides of the measuring tube wall receive and transmit the induced electromotive force to the converter through the signal cable. The converter filters, amplifies, calculates, and transforms the signal to obtain the flow rate value of the measured medium. Finally, the converter outputs a standard current signal or frequency signal proportional to the measured flow rate.
